Meet the Forefathers Capital team
Focus
Forefathers Capital, LLC brings the diverse experience of its principals and financial strength of its investment partners to pursue investments in both private companies and real estate ventures.
While we will consider investments in a wide variety of industries and locations, our focus is primarily on sectors that will have a positive impact on the communities we live in and know well, and companies for which real estate comprises a substantial part of their underlying value.
We bring our dynamic, international experience to the local markets we invest in, and deep local knowledge and reach to investments in Alaska and Oregon.
WORKING WITH US
We strive to bring an energetic, forthright approach to every business relationship. We will always act in an ethical manner and in the best interest of the underlying business, and expect the same of the partners we work with.
We are open to both controlling and non-controlling positions, depending on what is best for the underlying company. We prefer moderate leverage, and will not seek to over-leverage companies in which we invest. We do not seek out fixed exit dates to transactions, and believe in long term investments that will have a significant impact on the communities we operate in.
EXPERIENCE – Since 2020:
Alaska Insulated Panels
Together with our investment partners we acquired Alaska Insulated Panels, Alaska's manufacturer of energy-efficient, eco-friendly Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) for residential and commercial projects.
Baranof Fishing
Together with our investment partners, we acquired Baranof Fishing, a charter fishing organization in Ketchikan, Alaska with a diversified leisure offering including fishing charters, a restaurant, and supplemental businesses.
Avanlee Care
Forefathers Capital, LLC is proud to be one of the first investors in AvanleeCare, the all-in-one caregiver app led by Esther Dyson and Avanlee Christine, who most recently partnered with Walmart.
Wrightway Auto Carriers
Together with our investment partners, we acquired Wrightway Auto Carriers, the premier auto shipping company for moving and distributing vehicles from the lower 48 to Alaska.
Arcade Hotel – Currently in process
Together with the city of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Forefathers Capital, LLC has acquired and intends to rehabilitate the historic Arcade Hotel in the downtown corridor. The project is currently interviewing project managers, and intends to break ground in mid-2023. News coverage here.
